Louise has an invaluable breadth of understanding of the corporate community and social engagement relationship gained from fifteen years experience working in the private, public and not for profit sector. Her roles have placed particular emphasis on public campaigns, fundraising and cause-related marketing through a diverse range of commercial partnerships and cross sector working.
Louise occupied senior posts at Sense, Age Concern England, West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Woodland Trust, Broadway Media Centre and Target Direct. Louise has an LLB (hons) degree in Law, has undertaken training at the National Social Marketing Centre and is a member of the Institute of Fundraising.
Prior to forming Lamerton Swales, Louise spent seven years working as an independent consultant, specialising in CSR programmes. Her work embraces corporate community engagement and consultation, business education partnerships, social marketing, environmental issues and government relations.
Latterly, Louise has worked in the water and renewables industry. She has established education and community partnerships addressing a range of industry topics, including health, conservation, environmental impact and fuel poverty.
Louise has worked closely with the DfES and Dept of Health on the Healthy Schools Programme. She has a unique insight and level of understanding of social and education campaigns that bring about sustainable change. Her work has won praise and endorsement from government, including 'Model of Best Practise' by the Education Secretary in 1999, 'Beacon of Best Practise' in the Government's Healthy Living Blueprint for Schools in 2004, 'Best practise in Education and Business Partnerships' by the Secretary of State in 2005 and contributed towards Business in the Community Big Tick Awards.
